KHJA SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

$2,000 KHJA SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Scholarship may be used for college or trade school tuition, or for certification and continuing education credit! The KHJA Scholarship can be won one time, but members are encouraged to reapply if they are not chosen in previous years.

In order to apply for the KHJA Scholarship, you must:
  • Currently be a member of the KHJA and have been for the past three (3) years;
  • High school senior entering college in the fall of 2024 OR full-time undergraduate student in the fall of 2024 OR adult seeking a certification or continuing education credit.

Applicants must complete the following:
  • Personal letter explaining in detail the contributions you have made to KHJA and your involvement in KHJA and the sport of hunter/jumpers. Limit letter to two (2) pages;
  • Recommendation letters from three (3) adults not related to you. One must be from your current trainer;
  • Official high school or college transcript showing current GPA and full-time status if applying for college or trade-school related scholarship OR information on certification/continuing education credit;
  • Applicant must volunteer a minimum of one (1) hour at at least three (3) KHJA-affiliated events (horse shows that are sanctioned by KHJA, clinics sponsored by KHJA, etc.) in the two (2) years prior to the application submission.

Applicants should email all requirements to [email protected] no later than November 1, 2024. The scholarship application states a different deadline, but the true deadline is November 1, 2024.
