Do you know a high school aged rider interested in college equestrian? Here’s a chance for riders and their parents to work directly with experienced college coaches to get help with their college search, and with being recruited for riding. We help riders find teams and coaches find riders!
Participants in our programs the past couple years are now riding - many with scholarships - at top riding schools like Virginia Intermont, Texas A&M, Mount Holyoke, Oklahoma State, Hollins, Sweet Briar, Baylor, Kansas State, Findlay, Cazenovia, Charleston, Cornell, Skidmore, Lake Erie, Southern Methodist, Stonehill, Vanderbilt, Purdue, Xavier, Kentucky, South Dakota State, Penn State, Delaware, Ohio State, Saint Andrews, Virginia Tech, Mary Washington, Goucher, and many others! The top kid at the Lake Erie clinic last year earned a full ride to Texas A&M!
We're different than some other similar programs in that our emphasis is on EDUCATION of both rider and parents. As a college coach for over two decades, I know that most students and parents are confused and misinformed about the college riding scene. Campus visitors always come with the same questions, and this clinic is designed to answer those questions and more, to teach you how to choose a school with riding as a factor in your choice, and how to be recruited for scholarships if that is your goal.

WIN A PORTRAIT OF YOUR HORSE! !
If you have not visited and joined the KHJA Group on Barnmice yet, here's your incentive to do so...
Everyone who joins our group before May 31, 2008 will be eligible to win an original candid
portrait of your horse by celebrated contemporary equine artist and former Canadian Olympic rider Kelly Plitz.
The draw for the portrait will include current Barnmice/KHJA Group members and new members that
join before May 31, 2008.
If you get your friends to join and put you as their reference, you will have additional chances
to win for up to 5 friends, giving you a maximum of 6 chances!
The draw is for the KHJA group only, not all Barnmice members, so take advantage of this special opportunity to win a beautiful portrait of your horse!
Remember, your friends that join MUST put your name, NOT KHJA, as a reference for you to get credit for their membership. Go to www.barnmice.com to join. Best of luck to all!

I am currently having power issues with my computer, it won't charge and the battery is dead. Because of this, I'm unable to check my khja.org e-mail or enter in show results. I currently have Lakeside, Champagne Run, RMI I and Hodges waiting to be entered into the standings. I was out of town all last week for Spring Break and wasn't able to check my KHJA e-mail last week and will be getting my postal mail for the week tomorrow, so I may have more shows that I'm unaware of. I have ordered a new power cord that will be shipped out tomorrow and I hope will arrive on Tuesday.
If you need to contact me for something other than points/standings, please e-mail me at jduncanib@yahoo.com or call me at (859) 266-3447. I will update all the standings as soon as possible, until then, thank you for your patience and understanding!

I have created a KHJA group page on a website called Barnmice. It's kind of like the "Facebook"
of the Equine world. The web address is www.barnmice.com

create a page of your own. To the group and individual pages, photos, videos, blogs, etc. can be added.
Please take a look and join. **You do not have to be a member of KHJA to join the group. Thanks.

Just to make things clear, if you have a point inquiry, it must be made within 2 weeks of the points summary in which the show first appears. For instance, if you have points missing from a show that happened in April, it would have been on the first mailing and therefore, should have been inquired about after the arrival of the first summary. The only points that can be added now are from shows that have occured after August 26.
